"A glance at this list, and at the daunting array of actors who have worked with him over the years, many repeatedly, suggests that Mr. Nichols is not only smart but also the cause of intelligence in others. One of the reasons his movies reliably yield pleasure in spite of their limitations is the quality of the acting on display." It seems that Mr. Nichols is also able to inspire profoundly interesting reviews such as this one in the NYT.

I haven't got bugmenot working with Firefox 1.0 yet, and truthfully would really prefer to just see links that didn't ask me to log in, even given such workarounds.

No direct link? A cache someplace?

OK, done ranting

Ayn, bugmenot v0.6.1 works fine for me in FF 1.0 so you should be able to use it, I'd hope, and otherwise isn't NYT enough value to make up some BS registration info to access?

"Hi, I'm Ayn Marx. Because I haven't bothered to either register with the New York Times, because it's such a violation, or use BugMeNot, one of the most straightforward and easy-to-use websites out there, I'm going to piss on your thread."

(Interesting link, semmi. A.O. Scott is an insightful writer.)
