It's a good thing that there is color photo documentation, because words just can't describe how breathtakingly ugly the seventies were. I lived through it and I just have no idea what people were thinking. Look at this breakfast nook, there's like five different clashing floor and wood and fabric patterns in a space that's less than six feet by six feet. That took hard work, imagination and dedication to make something that ugly.
