I wish the initial question was more carefully chosen. The actual answers seem to be for three different and only somewhat related questions:

1) What are your ultimate goals in life? - Big picture items, like "be happy".
2) What do you want to do at some point in your life? - Laundry list of to-dos, like "visit Europe".
3) What do you want to change in your life? - New Year's Resolutions, like "stop smoking".

Some of these goals are so 'micro' that it's pathetic. You want to take a photography class? Well geez - go ahead, I'm not standing in your way. Go on a road trip with no destination? Come on, you could do that next freaking weekend. Etc.
