For these who didn't pick up their attempt : the contrast between the talking(action) of the two girls and the stubborn immobility of that black statue is supposed to underline how the slaves were considered : akin to furniture, nothing human. Obviously too cryptic for a wide audience, suggest they look for HowardSternesque approach and talk about pussy and dick.

Oh come on, elpapacito... they gave an exposition of what it was "supposed to mean". Good christ, that still doesn't mean that it was well done, well filmed, well acted, historically accurate, or made any damn sense. It was stupid. Plain and simple. It was stupid.

Well I liked it. And I think I've gained a new appreciation of the way slaves were mistreated in America at that time. "Hey, you slave! What's the matter? You think you're too good for your master? Why, get to work promptly!" A tear falls.
