Dead link, junior. Or maybe my computer's acting up. Judgement?

Funny, usually my impressions of people are completely different from what they really look like, but in this case, I was dead on!

Hmmm. I tried again, and got an error 404 message. So I pared down the think to just www.3dfiles.com, and got some German service agency's page. Not quite sure what's going on here. I'll have to trust you guys that it was a knee-slapper.

Phooey.

OK, I stored copies of them on my own web page. Here's the group photo and Matt's speech.

Thanks!

Thanks also to optamystic. You two went way out of your way for someone with a bad Hosts file (or routing at his ISP).

I'm just trying to figure out which character I am. I'm gravitating toward the green guy with the huge brain.

But then again, my posts haven't been that swift. :-)

ethmar, are you using cable or something? Sometimes your ISP can get in the way and screw up virtual hosting.

Just plain dial-up.

I've been meaning to fire up FastNet99 to figure out what the problem is.

Plus I didn't try tracing the URL to get the IP, yada yada yada.

I *wish* I was using cable "or something". I try to do most of my surfage at work, where there's a T1 line.

Ok, I traced the URL, came up with an IP of "209.207.179.21", residing somewhere in Virginia.

(Here's a screen shot for the curious.)

FastNet99 says the IP is really 216.247.236.67.

The 2nd one works.

I love FastNet99.

Ok, enough about me. How are you all doing? Life going good? Football team on the respectable side of .500? Good.
