Actually, shouldn't that be Predictions 2005? Still pretty cool, I enjoyed the ESPN link quite a bit. Especially the 180 pound Giambi item!

Actually, shouldn't that be Predictions 2005? No, these are all a year old, and this is a great post that says "So, how'd they do?" I think the alpha patriot guy actually did pretty well on predictions compared to the others I checked out in the list.

I love reviewing predictions at year-end. : ) For a while I used to buy the Enquirer psychic prediction issue at the beginning of the year and intended to save it til the end, but I always ended up tossing it or something.

I think the alpha patriot guy actually did pretty well on predictions compared to the others I checked out in the list. Really? I thought alpha patriot was the funniest one of all, for his obvious need of a glass navel. For instance: 27. China's first fumbling attempts at allowing private property will be successful and exceed the governments expectations. But no further changes will be implemented in 2004. If he'd written that in 1990, it would almost make sense. Does he think all those McDonalds in Beijing are government-owned?

If he'd written that in 1990, it would almost make sense. Does he think all those McDonalds in Beijing are government-owned? No, but not until this past year, the land that they were built on couldn't be owned (that is, they couldn't obtain suoyouquan) but rather the land could only "rented" from the state.

alidarbac: if memory serves me well (and it might not) in the UK as well all land is owned by the queen, and you have to pay some sort of tax for using it.

I am pumped my first post went well - approval from Matt, and imitation less than week later! I am flattered! My favorite link is the P - from National Review. They seem to take themselves the most seriously. There were plenty more articles like it in major press, but have paid archives--boo. Now, let's take a look into the future....all the way to the year 2000.
