See my thinking would be that some homeless person would feel pretty tempted to grab dude's pizza and run away with it, thinking no one would ever go through the process of sending the police after someone over a stolen pizza..

In my mind, this thing is already a failure. Just like certain fake security cameras, it will be easy for thieves to spot, because it's not a _real_ pizza box- it has a design distinct from the major chains. In fact, if i were a thief, I'd watch for just this box and grab it. Just like the white in-ear ipod headphones.

A friend of mine pointed out quite rightly that the cardboard box would get ratty and dirty over time, and thus it would become obvious that there was something other than pizza in it, because pizza places don't send out pizza in dirty, shabby, beat-up pizza boxes. Except in some parts of northern New Jersey, Brooklyn and Queens...

As a theft deterrent this is useless, because if anyone leaves a pizza box out, one's first instinct (even if it's not your pizza) is to open the lid and at least check out the toppings. However as a tool for corporate espionage, it can't be beat. Just sneak in disguised as the pizza man, then head straight for the server room. Of course, if that's the kind of person you are, you can probably get free pizza boxes at your corner pizza place if you ask nicely.

On the Pauly Shore tangent, I actually had the opportunity to see him at the Comedy Store in Hollywood. Joe Rogan was headlining and was the comedian friends and I had actually gone to see. In a comedy stand-up routine, Pauly Shore, is incredibly depressing and sad. He makes squealing noises which are quite distressing.

I am relieved to learn that this is an art site. Note the section on "Fictional Products." While they do seem to actually be willing to sell the PowerPizza, I doubt they think it's really a practical laptop accessory.
