The Mideast's forgotten people, Bedouins cling to ancient tradition - and Israel's bottom rung. With strong historical ties to the land that go back 2,500 years, they feel left out of the who-gets-what debate in the Holy Land.

Forgotten by the MeFi community too it seems...

I would think that 2,500 years of tradition is also a underestimate. Nomads have been part that land from prehistoric times.

Nomads have been part that land from prehistoric times.

Including the Hebrews/Israelites/Jews who lived in the area 3000 or more years ago...

Of course. the Israelites started out as nomads.

Your point being?

No point, really, other than one of the groups now fighting over Israel/Palestine has been there longer than the Bedouins who were mentioned in the original post.
