I LOVE YOU I WANNA LOVE YOU TENDER. You could be my only sweet surrender. I would never bring you any kind of sorrow. (38 Mb QT)

While I appreciate that you feel I might be your only sweet surrender, links that go to 38MB files with no other description bring me sorrow.

38 MB is a big commitment, what's it about?

It's no Aicha, that's for sure.

It's like a scopitone from the late 1970s!

(I found the scopitones fascinating.)

How bloody awful that I sat through the whole damn thing. And that aerobics team? where did they find them! One of them is eating something in the last scene of the video.

this is so mediocre, that it's ...merely mediocre. it's not even good at being bad.

I only hope that this doesn't turn into an earworm for the rest of my day, grrrr

OMG you're right! That totally made it all worthwhile.

This video, is this something you need an account at Fark to understand?

It's Finnish. The duo is Armi and Danny. The song "I wanna love you tender" was released in 1978. Some blogger makes fun of it here.

Armi was Miss Suomi 1977. She died in 2002. Danny is still around.

That's all I can figure, seeing as I can't read Finnish and haven't downloaded it. 38 MB?

Wow, pracowity, that's excellent, thank you.

Hmm. Finland has some of the most draconian drug laws in Europe, right up there with Greece. So much for that theory.

u2604ab, thaks for the lead on scopitones. I'd never heard of them before. Some of them are just fabulous.

two things

1. its an mpeg so it's not quick time
Since quick time and real player are evil you should be
using the k-lite codec pack found here, which lets you
view all media with old skewl windows media player
classic. Although they haven't found a way to imbed it
in firefox.

2. I downloaded this and then was browsing the rest of the
site. It finished, i came back to it, and was imagining the
pure joy i will have throwing this video on the digital
projector at a party in the midst of some bootay music.
thank you from the bottom of my heart.

3. Ok so its three things, that codec pack is so bad ass it
deserves its own damn fpp, but i won't be starting a
flame war by doing that.
