Considering buying a tank from Amazon? Meet the JL421 Badonkadonk, a "a completely unique, extremely rare land vehicle and battle tank" from NAO Design that sells for $20,000. Yes, its real (and comes with a free T-shirt). Of course, its not on sale, unlike the mysterious $23,000 Gulbransen Bottle Organ - now 21% off!

A 6hp lawnmower engine seems a bit anemic for such a big hunk of metal.

I would like to see the other four-hundred and twenty models of Badonkadonk.

Hey, they redesigned the Ford Explorer! Higher top speed and everything!

Not so underpowered for what it is - a Dalek golf cart.

Anyone else expecting fifty Jawas to pour out of that thing, muttering incomprehensibly to themselves?

Just me then?

I've got a spare 120hp motorcycle engine, maybe I should start building.

These guys were right next to us at burningman last year. I think it's a bit optomistic to fit 5 people in that thing, it's not really that big. It was loud though.

My review never made it on to Amazon.

Saved My Job!

Been having some problems lately. Seems a lot of people are criticizing me for not having provided enough armor or thinking through things generally. But we're sort of tapped out, having given all of our money away to our rich friends. So Con suggested that I try Amazon. So I said "what the hell!" I and I was surpised. "These things are so cheap Dick!" I said. So I bought 1500. My employees are getting them delivered around January 30, 2004. They'll be so happy, and I'll get to keep my job.

900 pounds? Not much of a tank. A chevy impala - now THAT is a tank.

Great fodder for the best Listmania has to offer. Reads like the Robb Report for Evil Geniuses.

then again, the Robb Report reads like a Robb Report for evil geniuses...

From the pictures it appears to be about 3 ft high.

Maybe it is a Jawa tank.

I bet the GEBERIT Luxury Shower-Toilet Combination would fit nicely in there. I mean, when jawas gotta go, they gotta go.

Badonkadonk is "street" for great big booty.

900 lbs on manufacturer's website.
1100 on amazon.
shipping 1300 lbs.

all of these are lighter than a mini cooper, and slothful in pace. This must be a neat thing to tool around in (on) when traversing one's estate, but other than taking it to GenCon, what're you going to do with it?

Besides look at it and think ($20,000 for this?)

It looks like a Burning Man art car.

Doesn't seem like much of a "battle" tank. Perhaps when coupled with this...

It's just an art car for Burning Man sold to rich people with no desire to create. There was a warm fuzzy feeling you get from seeing Flash driving the huge white whale around the Playa. He maybe drooling idiot but he built that whale (with help).

It would bother me to think the next cool art car on the playa was purchased "off-the-shelf". The atmosphere of creation and pride goes from 'building something cool' to 'owning something cool'.

/BM used to be cool rant

I know their self-apology, "We're just taking rich people's money to build something great."

well you're still a sellout... jackass.
