O'Reilly vs. Clooney

Over the years, Bill O'Reilly has taken a strong, principled stand against untrustworthy and unscrupulous charities. He's not afraid to call out the crooked celebrities who shill for them, either. George Clooney is one such celebrity. Recently, O'Reilly has called into question the integrity of the United Way and its efforts to aid tsunami victims. Clooney has fired back, and even invited Bill to be on a telethon with him. After some sparring, Bill relented.

Never claimed it was earth shattering, but as to why this matters one iota to someone, I would suggest this:
The panic that you started that week scared other charitable organizations into simply handing out money to anyone who walked into their office. . . people canceled their pledges because YOU told them that the telethon was flawed... a lot of money that should have gone to a lot of needy families didn't, because you wanted a controversy...
