Kuhn is among the photographers whose work is on display now at the Photo L.A. art exposition (Santa Monica Civic Auditorium). I liked it a lot. The nude group pictures have a very intimate feel
to them -- watching them gives you the impression that you're going
to disturb a group of peaceful people. Obviously pictures where
a bit of vegetation shows is the foreground are especially composed
to achieve this impression.

her work reminds me a lot of paintings by lucian freud and jenny saville... really wonderful stuff. i've rarely seen photographs that remind me so much of paintings.

Call me a philistine, but these strike me as blurry attempts to "artify" typical nudes.

Weston did it better. Mapplethorpe too.

But I'm at work so the esthetic juices ain't really flowing. Neat post.

I saw her gallery twice this past year in San Francisco. In person the prints are beautiful.

These people she's photographing are her friends, not simply models.
