I'm taller than Al Roker (.swf) and Alfred Hitchcock but shorter than Czar Peter the Great. Compare your height to hundreds of celebrities with Tall or Not.

I'm only as tall as Janet Reno... 6'2"... holy crap I had no idea she was tall.

Well, at least I'm taller than Billy Barty and Janeane Garofalo.

I got down to the N's and discovered that Boy George, Barry Manilow, Neil Young and Frank Zappa were all 6'0".

I was surprised to learn that Mao was 5'11. I would have guessed 5'5".

Mel Gibson is quite the man, apparently...he is listed as being both 5'9" and 5'10". I've heard of bilocation before, but this business of being two different heights at the same time is a new one on me.

You coulda knocked me over with a feather when I found out that Andre the Giant was taller than me!

Burt Lancaster was 6 feet tall. I trust this chart, 'cos I met him and I am in fact just about an inch taller than he was.

Mao was not noted for his grand sense of humor, but he did make a pretty amusing crack at expense of Deng Xioping (hope that spelling is at least close), who barely topped 5 feet...supposedly he asked anybody opposed to a measure he'd proposed to stand...Deng rose to his unimposing height, and Mao purportedly said, "Since I can't see anyone standing, we will go forward with it."

Or something like that. Since it's height-related I thought it to be pretty on-topic.

Anyone else wish the interface was more like this?

I wish there were photos of each, and a nicer interface.

Still, next time I see Pacino on the street, I'm gonna shove the shrimp around a little.

At least I'm taller than Hitler.

That motherfucker's been bragging about being taller than me ever since we were little. Now, at least, I have proof.

That is a crappy interface. Why bother with entering your height at all, if they're not going to sort the results by height or just give you results near you? I second fatllama's comment.

Yeah, the UI is a bit clunky, but thats a cool concept (since I am rather short, it was encouraging, take that, Lenin!). Thanks for the link!

Two inches shorter than Ricky Lake! Woo.

I was surprised Babe Ruth was 6'2". I've always just assumed people were shorter back then.

A lot of these were surprising though. Daniel Patrick Moynahan was 6'5"? Michael Crichton is enormous at 6'10"!

The list was fun to look through, but had an odd mixture of porn stars (Nina Hartley, Marilyn Chambers) and Star Trek actors like Brent Spiner and Michael Dorn.

Now that I know I'm taller than Paul Newman, Robert Redford, Sylvester Stallone, Tom Cruise, Al Pacino, Robert DeNiro, George Clooney and a few other such "leading man" types, I'm feeling dead sexy today. Ph34r my Manly Loftiness! ;D

And it's not a bad thing at all to be the same height as Paul McCartney, from whom my mom gave me my middle name (Paul's first name is actually John). And the same height as Brad Pitt, too.

No, that's not a bad thing at all. :) I repeat: dead. sexy.

Oh and taller than Hitler, too. I'da beat him senseless. Bring it on, painter munchkin-boy!

Why is it odd to mix porn stars and Trek actors? And hey, where the hell are Nimoy, Shatner and Stewart?? Frakes is 6' 6"? Holy mackerel!

But uh... how tall is Wheaton?

Gwyneth Paltrow and I would be nose to nose.

Yeah, I know about "Apple". And your poor-man's-Thom-Yorke-husband. But I'm taller than both of them. Call me!

Funny, as an editor, I'm thinking the oddest thing about the site is that it's alphabetized by first name.

Thank gawd someone mentioned Garofalo. Up until then I wasn't finding anyone who was even my height. Although I took comfort in Faulkner and Woody Allen being just four inches taller than me. Wow, and even Stallone and Cruise are somewhat shrimpish.

Mel Gibson is quite the man, apparently...he is listed as being both 5'9" and 5'10".
Before and after stretching from the crucifixion he no doubt practices at home.

Why is it odd to mix porn stars and Trek actors?

Perhaps 'odd' wasn't the correct word, but the their inclusion betrays the interests of the creator of the site. Not that there's anything wrong with being into porno... or Star Trek for that matter.

Christopher Reeve

Am I the only one who expected a height of, say, 3'11"? I am a bad person.

jenovus: no. we are going to hell together.

I'm amazed Audrey Hepburn was 5'9", but she's so tiny.

She was 5'7", according to both this site and the bios I've read.

Bette Davis was exactly my height. Whoo hoo.

As would be expected, there are other websites analyzing this topic from A-Z, too. Some people's heights totally surprise me.

Barbara Boxer is the same height as Toulouse Lautrec? Really?

I'm as tall as Abe Lincoln. I always knew he and I shared something magical, but I thought it was our stately and legendary presence or our godly thighs, not simply our height.

Alas.
