I'm not sure what the point of that was. I think anyone here knows that already. It is a theory, albeit an elegant one that has been well-supported by a number of experiments. However, perhaps somewhere in the world today there is a physicist who is even now finishing up a new theory that will alter the landscape of physics once again.
Are you suggesting that Einstein's theories are somehow less valuable because they are theories and not fact? I doubt anyone would dispute the man's genius, or the enormous impact he has had on modern science. He deserves all the praise he gets. posted by Sangermaine at 2:06 PM on January 26, 2005

Ehhhh....since Newton's "laws" are accurate only under very limited conditions, I'm a-gonna have to assume you's just being sarcastic....cf fatllama above. posted by fold_and_mutilate at 6:32 PM on January 26, 2005
