Multilingual Swearing

Malu cachu (that's Welsh, I'll leave the interpreting to you) - a comprehensive guide to swearing in 165 languages. This probably offers the most appeal to the younger crowd, subverting classroom etiquette undetected--but it's not without its draw for the inebriated. It may also be a good idea to cross check your business name before going global. A representative of AmaCorp visiting Japan is likely to catch a few odd looks.

Me too! "Searing" was what led me astray. A new technique for the cooking of meat?

You scared me, I thought I actually did list searing as a tag!

1- You wrote "searing in 165 languages" in the actual post.

2- This is the reason the internets were invented by Al Gore.

3- They have a separate section for each Latin American country, so you can tell they're serious. I looked through the Chilean one, and it's reasonably accurate, so swear on!

I'm getting one of those uber-annoying 'enable your active-X controls' 1-2-3 step things.

Japanese:

Piston undo -> Hard fucking

Really?

Saw that, just after making my [stupid] comment. If only I'd spelled searing wrong . . .

Piston undo--
This seems to be just that, used in context:
6. Personality? That doesn't figure into this equation. Its purely a sexual thing. For some, it might also be the novelty of scoring some Piston undo with an asian.

Is that an activeX trojan this is linked to?

I love how they've got one of those "anti-right-click" scripts that pops up "This material protected by copyright" when I try to open a link in new tab.

/me composes a nastygram to the site's maintainers explaining why this is dumb.

love this! Djöfull var gott að sjúga böllinn á pabba þínum í síðustu viku (look under Icelandic)

The Active_X control IS a Trojan. All kinds of ad software comes immediately. I removed it with AdAware (from Lavasoft), but it took two scans and a reboot. There's 10 minutes of my life I won't get back!

Otherwise it's an interesting site! Why would someone with that much content use it to annoy people?

*gives up*

There;s 10 minutes of my life I won't get back! Except I was reading mefi in the meantime. And if I tried to tally up time I spent doing that it would be embarrassing.

Lots of waiting on www.gethitsfrom.us, which is an amusing site in itself, or at least the traces its various manifestations left behind in the Google cache. Charming folks!

I eventually got something while writing this comment. The anti-right-click mechanism is really funny, given that I can view source on the pages, during which laff-riot session I found this commented out:

Whew! Serious trouble threat expired four weeks ago! Thank God!
