.

Traffic were one of the groups from the 60's pscyhe-prog-whatever explosion who's best work still holds up, mainly because of the level of talent in the group. It's rare that you have people like Winwood, Mason, Capaldi, and Reebop all in one unit.

"Dear Mr. Fantasy," and "Feelin' Alright," will be cranked in his honor.

And "Glad," and "The Low Spark of High-Heeled Boys," sheer brilliance! I adored Traffic and am saddened by Capaldi's passing.

Yeesh. Nothing says "I care" so much as linking a one-column obit from Reuters. Here's a bit of an interview from Capaldi's official site, which has a few other things worth reading, too.

Let it not be forgotten he and his wife spent lots of time in Brazil working to aid street kids. Cool guy - friend of Bob Marley, played for Harrison and Clapton, and Stevie Winwood said they were just preparing to get back in the studio together.
