Perhaps it's intended as a parody? 'Broquard' appears infaturated with the postmodern, which s/he has linked instead of 'Contact' at the top of the original page. Maybe this is their idea of postmodern commentary on vacuous weblogs...

No doubt somebody else new to HTML who read that you should start with a design you like and put in your own content.

I understand the point, but it's really hard to condemn these people. He's not selling his design skills. "Brazen" and "appalling"? I'll sign on to "ignorant" and "deplorable", on the outside, thank you.

Wow, get over it. Their code is totally different to yours, the layout is actually a little different.. and it's just a simple plain layout.

It's like saying Lycos is a rip off of Yahoo just because there's a search box, they both have their logos and the top, and a category index.
