SLO used to have one of the biggest Mardi Gras celebrations in the world, which is weird, because it's a tiny little town. The city authorities have done their best to crush the festivities the last few years. Something about how wild drinking and boobs don't match the family-friendly image they're trying to project. The one good party per year, and they have to kill it, the damn spoilsports...
