Jon Stewart at it again - this time blogging and Jeff Gannon
This post was deleted for the following reason: coveted this a day or two ago.
I can't think of a way to put this that isn't snarky. A clip of the Daily Show is not a good post, in my opinion.

While i respect your opinion and would not be surprised to find that other people in metafilter feel the same way, i for one do not have cable and must rely on such posts to see some of the only good journalism going on in america even if it is satire. Beyond that this is basically the first foray of any main stream media organization into this affair.
Returns from google news are still paltry
although it appears gannon is considering suit against bloggers who exposed him

Not meaning to be extra snarky, but these are double posts from another thread that is still active.

This is a weak post.
Also, the Daily Show clip is available online legitimately.

Also discussed here, here, and here.
Jon Stewart at it again
It's his TV show, he's 'at it' for 30 minutes, 4 times a week with numerous reruns as well He's always 'at it', he's always discussing the media on politics. That's the point.

A self flagellate button would be useful to delete and administer appropriate amounts of damage to hubris and ego. Its kind of a bummer cause i had a big post on darknets including some apps and some interesting articles on said material that i put off posting to share this.
I guess i just feel like this needs to stay in our conscience that america needs to think about this constantly and share it with as many people as possible, but as cmyr pointed out metafilter is not the place to push political agendas. At any rate if you haven't watched the two videos they're both good, the Bill Maher clip has perhaps more interesting things to say and includes some good one liners by robin williams.... I'm probably gonna jack out of this thread now and not return so as to avoid the ensuing shit storm and metatalk thread its bound to spawn.

Not an opus post, but I loved the clip. Thanks for posting it sourbrew, I had not seen it. And it lightened the agony of Hunter's passing a bit. Cheers.
