Compare your marketing or design pay

How does your marketing salary compare?. The Aquent AMA Compensation Survey of Marketing Professionals 2005 has recently been released. (scary staring people warning). Or view the AIGA Aquent 2004 Designer Survey. Apologies - US salaries only.

Steve Buscemi just looked over at me! I am laughing uncontrollably. madamjujujive, did you post this because of the marketing salary comparison or the staring people? It's worth it just for the latter, if you ask me.

Yeah those salaries are about right for both (in terms of what is average at least), being that I work in design and marketing I try to keep up with these things. Designers salaries are going down in certain types of design and then on the flip side in other areas the salaries seem to keep getting bigger. It's hard to keep track.

That design salary calculator is so well designed that it only shows a white rectangle in Safari. But designers don't use Macs anymore, do they?

Wow. The salary information is pretty much a yawner, but the creepy staring faces...wow.

Was this focus-grouped?

Check me out, I'm in the 75th percentile! I felt good about that until I realized it meant that 1 out of every 4 people with my level of experience is making more than me...

I wonder if the decrease in salary is related to the number of people who have no training in design or production buying iMacs and calling themselves designers--your worth is not based on your talent so much as it is based on how difficult it is to replace you.
