Armageddon in 30 years? Okay, so maybe hyped up a bit, but there's a 1:500 chance that whatever's out there might hit us. For now scientists don't know if it's really an asteroid, or just some leftover shuttle parts. [via SlashDot]

I don't think a rocket booster could destroy our earth. Sure, they're big, but not THAT big. Boy, wouldn't that suck if it did though? Heh, heh, damn.

From what I understand, it won't destroy the earth. It'll just destroy a big piece of whatever continent it hits (should it buck the odds and hit). Sure, there'll be wide reaching effects and some pretty serious tragedy, but humanity will continue.

The universe tries, but just can't wipe us out. Yet. :-)
