I was a teenage SA90 addict. My best friend still has his collection of 'Various' (vols. 1-30+) tucked away somewhere with tracks sucked up from various (hoho) friends' record collections, Annie Nightingale, Janice Long & John Peel shows.
Kids today with their 'innernet' and their 'empee-freez'. They don't know how good they've got it.

Um, HD-8, anyone? I had bad experiences with some of the cheaper TDKs when I was younger, switched to Denons (after a fling with Maxells) and never looked back.
But I still have a softsided case with 120 cassettes in the basement, which I pull out from time to time to consult playlists while I try to reconstruct them in iTunes.
Speaking of which, if anyone has a copy of the Church’s Russian Autumn Heart CD single or Ian McCulloch’s Faith and Healing single, let me know. Old b-sides are a bitch to find. posted by tjarrett at 7:42 AM on March 17, 2005
