I like the fact that No Ruz occurs on the Spring Equinox, celebrating the new year and life and rebirth when it is actually happening in the cycle rather than in the dead of winter as in Christian and/or Western fashion.

Nice post, I'm glad someone did one. We usually at least have sabzeh growing for it. But no leaping over a fire. Looks like authorities in Iran are trying to put a stop to the fire leaping.
