Come on now, explain to these innocent yanks what it's all about.

Aussie Rules football is great. I'm glad that, even without cable or satilite, I can still watch a fair number of games in America. There's a station called MHz in the DC area that shows foreign news and other programs. They show the Fox Sports World game of the week. Normally about two weeks late, and some times cut short if the game is a blowout in the fourth, but still great fun to watch.

Don't forget that there are US leagues to play footy in the US. I'm sure there are leagues in other countries as well.

Thanks for that link, Jimbob. I used to love watching Aussie Rules on ESPN at like 2 in the morning back, oh, fifteen years ago or so. Never quite understood entirely what was going on, particularly what differentiated a mark from a regular pass. Now I know.

I played NFL fantasy up until a couple years ago & after seeing that you can play fantasy NASCAR realize that you can probably play fantasy anything.

Speaking as a Yank that watched a fair amount of Footy on Australian TV while there a couple of Mays ago, I must say that it is an incredibly entertaining sport. I would love to follow it more and have to believe that there must be a source for torrent files of games recorded during the season. Anybody know of any?

If you play though be careful not to pick up somebody like John Hopoate who might get suspended for 12 weeks for "interfering" with opponents.

John Hopoate plays Rugby League, not Aussie Rules.

He probably won't be playing anything after tonight.

Oh, sweet. Per skynxnex's 2nd link, US Footy championships are being held here in Milwaukee this year. That kind of makes up for my cable company replacing Fox Sports World (and hence, my weekly Footy games) with Fox Soccer. (Well, no it doesn't. But it takes some of the sting out of it.)

I think I'll leave fantasy Aussie Rules up to the experts, though. I know from past fantasy league attempts that I am just no good at such things.

You can play Fantasy PGA too.
