Sorry, but I hate this whole concept. Sex and violence are inextricably (and unfortunately) enmeshed already, and this just fans the flames. Women with guns are supposed to be sexy? Yuck.

See, the guns are like phallic symbols so this is really empowering the women. Or not. I don't really have a problem with these pics. I like guns, I like to shoot. I like women. Ergo, women shooting guns should be a nice combination. There's a site called ActionGirls that had a feature of Veronika Zemanova shooting all kinds of guns while in various states of nudity. It was good viewing action!

Viomeda: Hong Kong was churning out girls with guns pics long before Besson's Le Femme Nikita. I'm sure Aliens, Bonnie and Clyde and such gems as Truck Stop Momma qualify as well although I admit they are not the same quality of Besson's work. On the violent female thread it used to be that women in American movies would take on masculine characteristics as part of their film transformation. Chinese women however, just kicked ass and then went back to fitting a certain stereotype. I always found that odd. I still think Angels and Pink Force Commando define the girls with guns movie genre. Many of the pics that I looked at could be movie posters. :)
