Here's a trip report I found on some blog. Sounds fun but super expensive (but then the person invested in the company so take it with a grain of salt). I'd be pissed if I dropped $3k on a goofy plane ride and ended up just puking the whole time.

Wow... ok I'm sorry I have been coming here for some time but I did not realize how picky and strict you guys were. I'm simply part of the community and yes, before you ask, I've read all your terms for posting and the like. I found that article interesting, much like I've found other articles posted here on MeFi interesting as well from day to day, so I thought I'd share it because I thought it might merit a good discussion... well this wasn't quite the one I expected. I didn't realize I'd upset anyone by it, but please feel free to delete it if you don't want it here. And I will keep myself from posting period since it does not seem to be welcome. Wow, I'm really amazed now that I see this place in a whole new light. Now I see what others have been talking about, but I still think it has great possibility. It's unfortuante right now though. So I'm sorry to have bothered some of you so... it'll never happen again. And thank you to those who are actually here to share information, not scorn it...

Arch: I'm sure you'll find some wealthy folks who would have that motivation. I know others who would (and, in fact are planning to) do it for the thrill of it. Hell, if I had the dough I might consider taking the trip, but I'd wait for a couple of years after they start taking paying passengers You know, after the bugs are worked out and before sloppy maintenance kicks in. On preview: Don't make me come over there and slap you upside the head, meg6212. Read the meta thread about your post, grow thicker skin, and learn.

Don't take any of the complaining too much to heart, meg6212. There are plenty of regular posters making far worse FPPs than this. Some are told by Matt to lay off posting in this or that strain and it doesn't even deter them. If you're open to developing your posting style, you're automatically ahead of them and you definitely should post again.

Ahh...don't worry about the nitpickers, meg. I liked the link. But...a warning...don't go to Kiruna for the sightseeing. It's not pretty to see mountains gouged out for metal nor a nice thought to picture all those underground miners missing the few precious winter hours of sunlight they have above the Arctic Circle, toiling away underground. I actually had a great time in Kiruna, but I was 20.
