what a great sales idea!

also... it's linked to that "blackwater" or something page... which i think was linked to the weird web page about a guy being haunted by his dead 6 year old son, or something. If I remember correctly... Sorry for the vagueness; not motivated enough to get links/etc

These people should realise that Golden Palace will bid on your item after 500 words, there is no reason to write pages of crap nobody will read...

I know, let's just gather all the kooky stuff we can find off eBay and link to it on mefi in a whole bunch of pointless and tedious fpps!

Do they have to be fpps? Or, kooky?

Haunted Possessed Disney Stitch Teddy Dangerous. My brain just can't figure out a way to parse those words to make a sentence.

[item] is probably possessed, killed my pet, burned down my camper, gave my kid a brain tumor! I think it's trying to kill me!

Serious bidders only.

I did *not* kill your pet.

I may or may not be possessed.

The Blair Stitch Project?
I'm sorry.

a-HA! So you ADMIT burning down the camper and giving the kid a brain tumor!

I have no further questions, your honor.

I don't know which I enjoy more -- that people take the time to make these things, or that other people take the time to take it seriously.

Ooo, I know: Both!

limitedpie: Is it your auction? If so, what the fuck are you doing self linking?
posted by Dean Keaton at 9:05 PM on March 24, 2005

Are we posting every bullshit "haunted" auction to the front page now?
posted by O9scar at 9:20 PM on March 24, 2005

Dean: as one of his tags is 'scam,' it's probably not a self-link, unless he's confessing here.
posted by moonbird at 9:25 PM on March 24, 2005

Uhhh, Dean, what ever led you to the very erroneous conclusion that it is a self-link? Perhaps you want to refrain from the potty mouth until you have ascertained the facts.

O9scar: Uggg. Had I noticed such a recent haunted ebay link on MeFi I wouldn't have posted this. But I do have a soft spot for the genre. But, having seeing the fpp you linked to now, this feels like a conceptual double-- my apologies MeFi.

400 dollars plus is pretty low for drivel that assumes a moronic audience...

I'm surprised it hasn't reached the million $ mark like the virgin mary sandwich did, before the auction was reset.

There was a Twilight Zone just like this, except with Talky Tina instead of Stitch. It had the tripping on the stairs stuff, though.

Honestly, as a bit of amusing Friday night reading, it was pretty fun.

That said, it's obviously bullshit.
