Man, holy sh-t, I remember these! I actually remember the packaging and illustrations of He-Man to really add to my fascination with the toys. Same goes for all other Hasbro and Mattel toys back then. But I'd completely forgotten about these comics until just now. Very cool. Great post, thank you.

Now this brings back memories. Mine were in Castillian (the toys were imported from Spain, there wasn't a Portuguese-specific version), and it was through them that I started learning the language.

Agreed, Modulok was one of the best 80s Action Figures ever conceived. Shame, really, since looking back, He-Man seems SO laughably bad now.

Awesome link... thanks for the flashback! I used to love spotting the reused molds in my collection (I had way too many of those damned things). Faker He-Man was probably the most obvious use of the technique... the legs and body were He-Man's, but the arms were Skeletor's, all cast in Skeletor's blue hue. Hell, even the cartoon reused lots of animation sequences. Trapjaw and Roboto were my favorite figures, fwiw. /back to lurking

My god. All of a sudden, I could smell mossman, and I could remember precisely where Man-At-Arms had exploded pen ink stuck in the wiring of his neck. Thanks for this. I actually had a couple of these as a kid.

I have a 1" scar on my right index finger from stabbing my Man-At-Arms action figure with my Kamp-King pocket knife. It closed on my finger. I always thought Man-At-Arms was kind of stupid, but he got the better of me that day.
