TORK!For your friday flash fun, a game about...linguistics? Learn a language, have some fun. Now if only I could figure out how to work that damn oven....

I say "cook" and "food (vegetable)" and my little food-vegetable thing floats away, never to be seen again. I have tried this in a couple of different rooms, to no avail.

There's a big oven in one of the first rooms you're in. I cooked a veggie no problem.

I found a bug. damn it.
just up from the big eye-stalk thing that hurts one of the aliens, I got stuck on a rock.

This is a great game though.

I'm so stuck it's not even funny.

I've guessed the meaning of pretty much all symbols, and I'm at the point where I have the petal thing, I've seen the three visions and I've gone everywhere I can go.

I went and tried to give the petal to the sick alien but he just gave it back to me.

Help?

Bah. I got the dream dripped into my head before I saw any of the visions, and then I tried to give it to the fortune tellers in return for a vision, and one of them kept it, and won't give it back. Now I can't finish the game...

What a lovely surprise to see that people are still discovering and enjoying Tork. We made it a few years back and really wanted to give that sense you get of landing in a country completely different language and customs from your own. It was really important that you couldn't physically interact with the environment, that everything had to happen through language.

We sweated about whether we'd made it too hard, but the day after it went live, there was an 80 point walkthrough on the forum!

Anyway, thanks everyone for your posts and your enthusiasm :)
