Welcome to Our Border, Boys!

The volunteers of the Minuteman Project will descend on the Arizona-Mexico border starting this Friday to do what Bush refuses to do: protect Americans. Their purpose is to raise awareness of the growing immigration problem. But the gang known as MS-13 says it will be on hand to teach the volunteers a "lesson." Will the border agents protect Americans or MS?

Let us hope they protect the sanctity of the law, by enforcing it without fear or favor.

Good. Vigilantes always deserve a good ass-kicking.

Double post, of sorts.

Vigilantes. That's just what we need. They've always been so helpful.

So the Minutemen are a militia, and these other guys are a gang?
And don't tell me this is a self link.

I can think of few things more beautiful than an absolutely bat$hit crazy gang like MS13 and a bunch of nutball rednecks like the Minutemen destroying each other.

On the other hand, the net result of the conflict could be more rednecks getting xenophobic and arming themselves, and that's no fun.

I'd say get your own blog to post to these types of articles, but it seems that's exactly what you linked too.

Hopefully this will be deleted out of principle.

The law is sacred now? Yeesh

Hrm. Both of LMB's links for previous comments (here and here) go to lashawnbarber.com. Big fan, huh?

Didn't David Duke do this already?

I automatically reject any argument that justifies something by saying it's "manly man talk."

I also wasn't aware the US was "burdened to the breaking point" with Mexis. Oh god, they're taking my job!

Actualy, I'm hoping the border gaurd does nothing, and these idiots slaughter themselves.

Also LMB is a total self-link whore, so this thread will be deleted. (Three comments, one link. two of the comments link back to her blog, as does this post).

If the L and B in LMB don't stand for Lashawn and Barber I will eat my hat (which is made of delicious stilton cheese).

I have no respect for those who have no respect for the rules.

I do, however, love irony.

Pink,

oddly enough, a quick google search reveals her middle initial is M. What're the odds?

A mostly-double post and a self-post. Permanent bannination awaits.

From LMB's website:

I’m not satisfied with my current traffic and linkage. Blogging all the time has its rewards, but let’s face facts. Success sometimes depends on who you know and whether or not they like you. I want to be every blogger’s favorite. Irrational, isn’t it? I don’t care. I want everybody to like me and link to all my posts, even if I write something stupid.

Have you noticed that the big bloggers have favorites and link to them all the time? I want to be a favorite. I read those bloggers’ posts. They aren’t any more interesting or special than mine, in my opinion. But I’m biased.

People like me OK, I guess, but not enough to suit me. That’s selfish and short-sighted, isn’t it? For all I know, some of you might be saying the same things about me. I don’t care. Guilty. Envy is not fun. It can be used for good or evil. I try to use it for good.

First and foremost, I'm a believer in and follower of Jesus Christ. I am also a former liberal and current renegade supporter of conservative ideals.

Gosh, that's a real shocker. Bye bye, wingnut.

Looks like I'm late to the outing party, but here's a helpful hint for future self-linkers: avoid this sort of asinine reasoning and post-construction and you won't invite scrutiny.

I wouldn't have given it a second thought (or look) if it weren't for the "Mexicans: Threat or Menace?" icing on the stupid-cake that is this post.

I wonder how much self-linking goes on undetected.

btw, she get's pissed and deletes your comments if you dare to point out the posting guidelines and that metfilter is not the place for blogwhoring.

That's what I love about right wing sites. Even when you politely correct them, your comments are deleted and your ISP banned.

and La Shawn, in case you're reading this as my comments don't show up on your site: No, I'm not the site police, that's what goatdog's MeTa post above is for.

But when you come over to someone else's site you agree to play by their rules, and one of the rules here is you don't whore for bandwidth.

And as for posting my place of occupation(very childish btw), I could care less, I've given my notice, which leads to me having time on my hands. But feel free to start badmouthing me to Cornell Med, I'll be there in the fall.

Hate to break the news to ya, but these days, supporters of conservative ideals are... what's the opposite of "renegade" again?

LMB knew what s/he was doing. It's all just a free for all now.
