That's final projections only, not still-changing exit poll results, which can go in the thread below. (And no, that's not a link two sentences back.) VNS and the Bush and Gore campaigns have a projection in the presidential race, which is hidden inside to protect the weak. Also, a projection in the New York Senate race.

As in Benjamin Harrison, who won 47.8% of the popular vote, but 58% of the electoral college. It's often stated as a rare occasion, but in fact, 17 presidents have been elected with only a plurality of the popular vote. Generally only the two front-running candidates are counted, but third party votes often shave the winner's percentage below 50%.

Bush will win by a hair, there will be a recount in Florida, he'll still win by a hair, and Nader will be blamed.

Oh well.

Yeah, and it's all the old farts' fault! (apologies to all old farts.) You don't get to vote in your first 18 yrs, you shouldn't get to vote in your last 18 yrs.
