Better than bugmenot, Pookmail is a disposable email account. The next time you are asked to register for that newpspaper site, just use anythingyouwant@pookmail.com. If it doesn't exist, the address will be created on receipt of the registration confirmation request. All emails are flushed after 24 hours.

As recommended by the thread from a couple of years back, I like spamgourmet. You can have the first few emails sent to your real address, and the rest destroyed.
