		<description>If in fact there is no decision by the electoral college, then the House of Representatives decides, on a basis of one vote per state. Given the number of states Bush has pulled in, it&apos;s easy sailing for him if this happens.

It&apos;s covered in Amendment 12, which supersedes the section in the main constitution covering the same thing.

Here&apos;s the interesting thing: in the unlikely event that there&apos;s a tie in the House, then the existing Vice President becomes President for the new term. Al Gore may have a chance yet.
