Nice link, thanks. Kinda reminiscent of all those classics performed by bunnies that crop up now and then on MeFi. But... is this really how the movie ended? I mean those last seconds ... my memory might be failing me here but I thought that BraPi did NOT do Kevin Spacey the favor of killing him (thereby completing his grisly yet somehow artsy reeanactment of the 7 Deadly Sins). Inquiring minds want to know.

Ummh, maybe I should have put a "spoiler warning" in there somewhere. Although, you really wouldn't be in this thread if you haven't seen the movie, right? Mach5: Her head. Her, meaning Brad Pitt's young and beautiful wife (Gwyneth Paltrow?).

Sour cream: The ending here is correct. I wouldn't go as far as to say "shot for shot" accuracy, but it's pretty close (except for the actual showing of the doll in the box..I would have loved to see just a bunch of yellow yarn) Speaking of bunnies, there's some new ones. (since the last time I checked, at least)

He did the entire ending with the characters played by Star Trek's Shatner, Rescue 911's William Shatner, and TJ Hooker's William Shatner, all in the costumes from the different tv shows. The delivery person was the green orion slave girl from the original Trek (whom he grabbed and smooched with the right music in the background) and in the box was the head of William Shatner singing "Tamborine Man". There's is something that tickles me about Shatner screaming "What's in the *bleeping* box!" I tried to find a video but my primitive google skills have failed me.

I really appreciate the links to the Shatner version, but I have to say, it wasn't really that cool... They needed to play it deadpan like the puppet version, I guess they didn't have enough time... "They"... What am I talking about... It was all Shatner. (and he doesn't turn around like the guerilla) That blue puppet as Kevin Spacey is awesome!

i disagree that the end of Seven is lame. Someone gave my 2 year old a boobah for xmas. the thought of it sitting in the playroom as i sleep chills me to the very bone.

Ah, I love Se7en's ending. I remember seeing it in the theatre and just being blown away, even though I hated Pitt's reaction when he found out --- something about the faces he made, how he kept turning away, I don't know, it really bugged the hell out of me. That being said, this puppet thing must have been a pain in the ass to make, and for that, my commendations. Now I want to watch the movie again.

It took me a few minutes to realize it was a boobah, but my two year old caught the screen out of the corner of her eye and said, "Blue Boobah!" Friends of mine taped a version of Predator with Simpsons figurines. I've been after them to get it up on the web.

This was pretty good. I was hoping they'd include the single frame of the wife. I like how even the most harmless looking stuffed animals can have a sense of menace with the right dialogue.

There's no ending of a movie I've hated more than the ending of Se7en. Gwyneth wasn't a star then, she was just another appealing actress playing the minor role of The Wife. I thought it was so horrible that a pretty woman had to end up with her head in a box just so the moviemakers would have an excuse to create all those clever killings that preceded it. Doesn't really have the same affect with puppets, and all I've remembered about that movie and its ending is the head in the box and how absolutely cruel and cynical I thought that was. I haven't watched that movie since it was first in the theatres, and I'll never watch it again.

I'm with TimTypeZed. "Seven" is only a cool movie if "cool" means "disturbing." It's only worthwhile to the degree that one thinks that watching someone go through pain and seeing nice people dismembered is "thrilling."

I agree, although I've since revised my opinion: I now find the ending heartwarming and wish that every Gwyneth Paltrow movie ended with her character's head in a box. It would have made Shallow Hal almost watchable. Almost.

Uhh...you people do realize that if the movie had ended differently, only 5 of the 7 deadly sins would have been accounted for, right? Personally, I thought the whole thing was done immaculately and any different ending would've ruined it. Apparently, the studio was really pushing for a different ending but Brad Pitt's contract specified that it stay how it was.

It's only worthwhile to the degree that one thinks that watching someone go through pain and seeing nice people dismembered is "thrilling." One of the things I admire about Seven is how little violence there actually is in the film. There is only one murder shown in the film, the shooting at the end. All the other murders are just referred to, but they are described so vividly that people think they saw stuff like mutilated vaginas and people being dismembered, when it wasn't shown. The horror comes from the viewer's imagination.
