Sjvilla79 - I'm seriously not trying to flame you but if this is your idea of art, I feel bad for you. I realize that virtually any piece of crap is considered art these days (even a piece of crap) but at least they are made by humans.

j.p. Hung, I can appreciate your views. Art is in the eye of the beholder after all. I'd say this is cooler than crap though. Seriously. When was the last time you looked at your crap, anyway? It's not that interesting. Plus, you can't play with it on your computer. I agree with your 'on preview'. This work is somewhat old, hey. That is something to consider.

I'm jealous of your example image, it has some nice inner detail, but mine was a very simple grid and not at all what I was expecting. What sort of extraordinary answers did you give to get an interesting picture?

How is this not Mondrian? It's art imitating life. Nobody has claimed to back up their statements here. I find that rather confusing. rhapsodie, the login information is for Rhizome's website. It's the related link, mate.

I would say it's more like programming imitating art. I find this boring, but I am probably biased because I develop cruft for the web all day long, and I immediately reverse engineer these sorts of things in my head. And I'll agree that this is not Mondrian: the first time I saw a Mondrian piece in person, I lost my breath; this does nothing for me. So perhaps its message is that attaching arbitrary values to the lines devalues the work as a whole -- the vagueness of Mondrian's work is what makes it interesting.
