National Geographic's Genographic Project will attempt to map the dispersion of humanity from a single primal African of 180,000 years ago to, well, you. In addition to asking for DNA samples from members of indigenous populations around the world (via cheek swabs), the NG will be opening the project to anyone with a spare $100. Don't you want to know where your ancestors have been?

bricoleur, despite your decidedly redcoleur at the moment, I for one am actually grateful you posted this doublet - I had somehow skipped past adamvasco's post and doubt I would have got back there.

So cheers!

I like your post better, actually -- if only that you mention swabbing.
