Ficus2000hoped to bring reform and change to congress by providing a choice to uncontested congressional seats, a ficus tree. I can't believe anyone voted for ficus. He didn't have a chance to win, and only played the spoiler in an otherwise clear-cut race.

It's obvious that Ficus is just a camera-hogging, grandstanding egomaniac. I've lost all the respect I had for Ficus after all those years of... well, whatever trees do.

I'd also like to point out that Ficus' poor showing in the polls is a serious blow to his credibility. Even though I appreciate his efforts in reducing the greenhouse effect by converting carbon-dioxide to oxygen, Ficus has hijacked the political process with his ill-timed and irresponsible candidacy.
