I saw this and got all excited because hey, Friday already! As it turns out, this is a cruel trick and it's only Tuesday. That's not to say I won't watch it ten or twenty more times today. posted by uncleozzy at 6:51 AM on April 26, 2005

What's with the blackface? posted by tim451 at 7:08 AM on April 26, 2005
Yeah, tim's got a point -- I wasn't even trying to read into it, but I thought the guy looked a little minstrel-like. Probably unintentional... posted by hifiparasol at 7:12 AM on April 26, 2005
It probably wouldn't have shown up as well in another color. posted by shawnj at 7:22 AM on April 26, 2005

meh. I don't think that will catch on. But now I have the hamster dance song stuck in my head. Grr! posted by clgregor at 7:53 AM on April 26, 2005
This is awesome in every way except for the blackface, which completely ruined the thing for me and meant I didn't watch for more than ten or twenty seconds.
Maybe the disgust's an overreaction, I dunno. posted by schroedinger at 7:59 AM on April 26, 2005

Also, I think that this is blackface the same way anything longer than it is wide is a phallic symbol and thus an instrument oppression used by the patriarchy posted by Capn at 8:20 AM on April 26, 2005

Best of the web? posted by grouse at 12:08 PM on April 26, 2005
Cool. That was worth watching. I had this horrible feeling at one point that I'd been duped, and that it was going to go on forever, stuck in an infinite loop...
Derivative.
Boring. posted by D.C. at 3:41 PM on April 26, 2005
What is up with always using bad techno music with wacky flash animations like this? Is it meant to be ironic? Is this thing self-aware? It would have been funnier (even more unnerving) if it had a loop built into it so that it just never ended. Man. I need to make one of these just to prove that any jackass can do it. Then again, maybe that's not a contested point of view. posted by ddf at 7:31 PM on April 26, 2005
