Thanks for this post. I think they forgot "makes the planes look kind of cool" under the benefits of the new winglets. posted by Staggering Jack at 9:39 AM on April 27, 2005
On a closer reading, I see that they state "Blended Winglets bring a modern look and feel to aircraft, and improve customers' perceptions of the reliability and modernity of the Airline" which I guess translates to "makes the planes look kinda cool." On a aviation related note, I see the A380 made it's first flight today. posted by Staggering Jack at 10:02 AM on April 27, 2005
Al queada should be liking all this stuff..... :( posted by stevejensen at 10:58 AM on April 27, 2005
Neat stuff for a gearhead like me. The design of the 737 seems to be a bit long in the tooth, though. I've taken a few flights on the Airbus equivalent lately, and IMO it's a better design. posted by SteveInMaine at 11:36 AM on April 27, 2005

Yes, it is unfortunate that this post will help al queadadea learn about planes. Before 11:49AM today, they knew absolutely nothing. posted by odinsdream at 11:43 AM on April 27, 2005
Thanks, stevejensen. If you were joking, you ruined my lunch. If you were serious, you ruined my day. posted by breezeway at 11:56 AM on April 27, 2005
Forget al-Qaeda. Imagine what the Boogeyman could do with this information! posted by sonofsamiam at 12:01 PM on April 27, 2005
Cool site. Do you own any of the rights to these photos? I have an agency and we are looking for photos of composite construction. Boeing sells them but I thought you might have taken some of the photos. posted by Chuck Lohre at 12:56 PM on April 27, 2005
Well, Chuck, it's not my site, but if you check the contacts page, you might be able to email Mr. Brady and ask. posted by breezeway at 1:26 PM on April 27, 2005
