Bob Hunter you will be missed

This is sad. The founding members of greenpeace all seemed like the right people to lead such a group, and Bob Hunter specifically provided enough clarity to everyone that major newspapers and CITY-TV were willing to hire him for his opinions -- opinions held in high enough regard to be willing to retract them when he made mistakes (which everyone does).
I'm not a greenpeace supporter myself, but if I were born earlier I think someone like this might have been able to convince me otherwise.

This is sad. He lived a good life, unlike another founder of Greenpeace now known as a "a corporate whore, an eco-Judas, a lowlife bottom-sucking parasite who has grown rich from sacrificing environmentalist principles for plain old money."

I remember when he ran as a candidate in one of the Toronto regions in 2001. I so wanted to do a vote swap to get him in, despite his health already failing him. He will be missed, from both environmental and journalism realms.
