Michael Hutchings' rope trick and Dylan Thurston's two-handed knot-drawing sk1llz. Did you need to kill some time practicing pointless skills today?

I read that quickly and thought it was Michael Hutchence's rope trick, and was thinking: uhhhh... no.

Cool tricks though.

Me too. I thought that this was going to be the least tasteful post ever. The rest of the gallery is cool too.

Dammit! We don't want to see some bearded hippie who's outgrown the hacky-sack circle! We want autoerotic asphyxiation!

My great aunt could write with both hands at the same time and the writing was indistinguishable.
I want to be tricked out like her.

Wow! Check this out! This set off my hotness alarm, does that make me a bad person?

What amazed me the most with the rope trick was just how many times in a row he could do it without ONCE messing it up.

That takes practise!

Rope trick skills, two-handed knot-drawing skills, auto-erotic asphyxiation skills.... Girls only want boyfriends who have great skills.

Michael Hutchings is also a 7-ball juggler by the way.

As long as we're listing Stupid Mathematician Tricks, I'd like to mention that Bjorn Poonen (UC Berkeley) can whistle with his mouth closed. It's much more disturbing than you'd think.

I'm always a little worried that stuff like this is going to break reality.
