No discussion of World War II songs would be complete without at least mentioning "Lili Marlene". And for entertaining (?) song titles, how about this: "I'm a Cranky Old Yank In My clanky Old Tank (On The Streets Of Yokohama With My Honolulu Mama, Singin' Those Beat-o, Beat-o, Flat On My Seat-o, Hirohito Blues)."

Thanks jasonspaceman AND alumshubby. I love this sort of stuff (in a different, less self-consciously ironic way, of course) posted by briank at 6:38 AM on May 11, 2005

Oh my god, I just got a project to do the sound design for a WW2 era play. I'm thinking of googling for links, but Mefi came first.
