Warren Christopher looks like a character from The Muppets. I think I see Kermit in the background of the photo.

Actually, he looks like Jeff Dunham's ventriloquist dummy, Walter.

Strange that Christopher and Baker haven't sat down yet and hashed out some kind of Reconstruction II deal behind closed doors. I mean, what other message were the campaigns sending by dispatching two former Secretaries of State? "Hey, look, we're sending in diplomats, the most stereotypically bland and shiftlessly noncommittal of all members of government!"

Er, if they were doing a deal "behind closed doors," we probably wouldn't know about it, eh?

Er, if they were doing a deal "behind closed doors," we probably wouldn't know about it, eh? (And anyhow, Muppets are much more animated and lifelike.)

Has anyone actually ever seen Warren and Sam the Eagle in the same room?

I do wonder what the parameters of such a deal might be. Gore wouldn't want to be VP again, methinks, and a cabinet post would seem a demotion. And the Republicans wouldn't want to be seen offering the man a job in return for a political payoff, nosirree. "Please? Ambassador to Aruba? You'd get to keep Air Force Two, really."
