Anyone who does not get enjoyment out of this is a FRICKIN IDIOT.

I watched the film last night as my local video shop had it.
Which I know puts me months behind the americans and proabably months behind other brits.

I can honestly say the whole film falls under the "wtf" category, yet was strangly compelling.

Feh. Could have been so much better. A good start would have been actually trying to sync Napoleon to the beats. Another plus would have been if they hadn't used crap samples. The content and quality of them was severely lacking.

But "greedy buffet patron" is phat, and redeems it somewhat.

For a really stupid movie about nothing, boy does it have legs. God bless America.

The character's supposed to be in high school, right? Why does he appear to be about 30?

I think a major factor in ND enjoyment is whether you knew a guy like Napoleon growing up.

My locker partner in my sophomore year of high school, Ben, WAS Napoleon Dynamite. Watching the movie is like going straight back to those chaw-stained hallways (my high school was chock full o' cowboys). In a good way.

My sister kept trying to get me to see it, saying that I reminded her of ND.

I haven't seen it, but I think I should be offended.

Alex and jon, maybe we should get Pedro to build you a cake or something.

I laughed my ass off watching Napoleon Dynamite, but then I was/am a severely awkward nerd.

If you weren't or aren't a severely awkward nerd, you probably won't like it, or even understand or empathize with most of it. If you were ever even remotely bully-like or excessively popularity-concerned in highschool, you'll probably hate it.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, nyterrant.

If anyone is looking for memorable quotations from the movie, try here. (But if they are memorable, do we really need that site?)

Mountain air, fresh bass, and severely deprived Idaho lifestyles keep the kids in high school till they're at least 28. Then they graduate and eat taters till they die.

I have sent this site to my son and to the guy who will teach dance at the summer program at which I work. In retrospect, that was probably a bad decision.
