OK, I'll say it..

I think lace is pretty.

Those are some awesome lacy paterns.

I've been trying to use some lacy paterns in my latest tilework..

Don't make fun of lace, or I'll have to bust your head open and make you see the true beauty!

Thanks for posting this; I'm a needleworkin' fool who spends hours poring over stuff like this. Duly bookmarked.

Wonder why it's housed at the site for the University of Arizona's Computer Sci Dept. (I guess because of the fact that programming jacquard looms was a precursor to computer programming...?)

Wow! Just gorgeous. I'm looking at the Czech work. I never knew that lacework could be as representational as some of that is. Fabulous post.
