When I was a little kid, I dreamt that I got into a fistfight with rainbow brite on the lip of a volcano, and we both got thrown in as a result. I think that's why I'm gay.

The Rainbow Brite story sounds like almost every videogame console role-playing game before the Playstation. They found all 7 one by one and set them free from their imprisonment. Then Rainbow was met with the biggest challenge - the Dark One himself. But with the help of the rainbow, she was able to defeat him and restore color and happiness to the land!

I once saw a Rainbow Brite doll towed on clothesline behind a BMX bike (which was the style at the time). I don't think it was racially motivated.

I have decided I need me those arm warmers (from the costume). Mostly because my softball team has taken to calling me Rainbow Brite recently - I think something to do with my multicolored hair. However, it's a gay softball league, and those arm warmers happen to have the appropriate color scheme to them, so it would be most fitting.

I curse Rainbow Brite and her evil cereal. I was in the 4th grade and completely out of Cookie Crisp. In desperation for corn cereal with sugar I ate a bowl of my little sister's Rainbow Brite cereal. I head to school as as I'm approaching the classroom I get a rumble in my stomach and proceed to vomit Part of a Complete Breakfast into a garbage can. PINK VOMIT, horrible pink vomit...The Yard Duty on grounds who saw me toss my cookies asked what I ate. I lied and said strawberrys because I was way to embarrassed to admit to eating Rainbow Brite Cereal. I mean come on, to admit to eating that cereal makes you gay, gay, gay... might as well trade in the G.I. Joes for Strawberry Shortcake and quit the BLF to join the Barblie Liberation Front because you're hetro days are over little Milton. DAMN THEE RAINBOW BRITE!

They strike me as complementary cartoons, what with the ponies coming in all those colors and both prominently featuring rainbows in their storylines or iconography.
