Those Wehrmacht reenactors reminded me that Patton once allegedly remarked the Germans had far better-looking uniforms than the Americans did.

Great links, mjj and Buddha! It also reminds me of a tossaway line in some book I read (just shoot me - because, of course, I can't remember what book! :{ ), about the Italians in Africa, during WWII, being very poor soldiers, but terribly conceited about their gorgeous uniforms. (Considering the sentiment, I would bet that the author was British, but alas... I fail you!)
