Josh Micah Marshall, longtime favorite blogger of the center-left crowd, has opened up a new spin-off discussion site for his eminently popular Talking Points Memo, which has long been lacking for open yammering from the peanut gallery. The new site will feature weekly guest bloggers, and is hitting things off right with former vice-presidential candidate John Edwards!

Am I the only one who finds the new cafe thing hard to navigate? I'm not web design savvy enough to know why, but it's hard for me to figure out what is going on on the front page. Huffingtonpost.com seems cleaner and sort of the same concept, no?

God love 'em, but they sure have an ugly new site, don't they? There are way too many styles bouncing around. Like, four different fonts, and I'm not even counting sizes or weights or graphical headers. Augh! I want to take it all in MacPaint and do Trace Edges until it becomes a giant moire. Then I could read it better.

Seems I overestimated the blue's esteem for the consiliatory Southern running mate... The reason I was excited about the site was the potential to comment, which TPM (and Huffington Post) both conspicuously lack. The TPMCafe America Abroad section seems particularly good, too.
