One fifth of all bird species are in danger of extinction.And right when we're finally understanding where they came from, too.

I haven't come across anything worth posting in so long--and some might say I should've kept on waiting, with something so Newsfiltery--but the juxtaposition of the avian alpha and omega on the same day would take a stronger man than I to pass up.

Interesting. And I was surprised to learn that there are less than 10,000 species of birds.
