If you ask me, I don't think the government has anything to worry about from this dude. Whatever good points he has are lost in a sea of conspiratorial flimflam, with a lot of "signs of massive cover-ups" and "suspicious activity", but very few facts. How is he different from the conspiracy nut that came before him?

Hmmm... Gore and the internet, the Clintons' death list, Vincent Foster, Waco, OK City, etc... This looks more like a NewsMax site to me than a conspiracy site.

Much of it's legit (eg Echelon exists. well duh. etc). Since I like conspiracies, but don't really track real-world ones, this seems like a fun site to see a bunch of hot-button conspiracy-theorist stories in one convenient location :-)

When it comes to conspiracy theories, fellow MeFite Matthew Rossi spoiled me. He's saner than most (at least he doesn't believe in all the crazy things he writes about) and has far more original ideas than all the conspiracy nuts of the world combined. His Things That Never Were has been linked before and is a book everyone should read.

Legally or not, Hawaii shouldn't be considered a state. 1) It wasn't there when I learned my states in the second or third grade. 2) For years it was in the road atlas under A (when they just stuck two pages in near the front, the other one of course being Alaska). 3) And most un-American of all, you can't drive (to) there. How can Hawaii claim to have an interstate highway? Maybe if they built a bridge...

Actually, the spelling is often ok, but when I think back, nearly every conspiracy site (and fringe-science sites too for that matter) I've been too, I've ended up frustrated or confused by the layout. I suspect this is actually the only reason there aren't any sites on these topics in my bookmarks.

I should stress however, that I am in no way suggesting this conspiracy site ranks among the best stuff on the web. I'm just saying that for many users, old != redundant.

Wow, it's like a one stop shop for the tin foil hat crowd. Really, though, this guy needs to concentrate his energies. You have to choose the ditch you die in, you can't just go breaking your leg in every one you come to! With such a diverse array of conspiracy theories, his evidence is pretty lame. If he stuck to one or two he might be able to move from urine soaked ranting lunatic to the more respectable corner prophet with hand written, photocopied pamphlet. If he gets some real juicy stuff there, he could be featured on an A&E program!

The problem with this is that most people - even the ones who make valid points - are too easy to chuck away as rubbish, because they get too fanatic about it. Ultimately, that was the downfall of the Drudge Report as well. Started off well, and now nobody can be bothered anymore.

I just heard someone espouse the "Clintons are murderers" theory last weekend. I had no idea. The list of people connected to them who are dead is absurdly long and many of the connections seem tenuous at best, but still people like to believe. Is there a site that does a good rebuttal to this theory?
